Okay, have you guessed what I bought? Yes, it was a new little netbook. And not just any netbook, but an Asus. I was told they are a good brand and so far I am very pleased. The keyboard is big enough to type on and the screen is nice and clear. It has a GB of memory and 160GB of hard drive space. That’s as powerful as my desktop computer! All in a little case that I could carry in my purse.

At the end of this paragraph is a link to the netbook so you can see for yourself and I have to tell you it’s an affiliate link, so if you buy one too I get a small commission. You pay the same price either way and I’m not following you around ready to pounce like some of the computer stores I’ve been to.  If you get one, be sure to tell me how you like it and what color you got. Today is confession time. Computer and information junkie that I am, online marketers are often my downfall. Not because their programs and ebooks are no good, but because they may not be useful to me at the stage I am. Too many times I have purchased products that sounded so amazing, but I didn’t have the background to be able to put them to use.

When I see a book I like at the library, I have to get it right then, even though I don’t have time to read it. Why? Because I might not find it again. I guess that’s my mindset when I discover these products, but the problem is they aren’t free, like library books, and they may be outdated by the time I get to them, if I ever do.

It’s a real battle every time I read about a new product. I have to force myself not to buy – not unless I am ready to use the program or ebook right away. But if I had a million dollars, I hate to see what I might be doing.

I watched a video today about how crucial it is to organize your data if you plan to make money on the Internet. In fact, people have quit doing Internet Marketing because their data was in such a mess.

I can see that happening with me already. When you have more than one website or blog, plus affiliate programs you belong to, membership sites, software downloads … it all gets pretty confusing.

I even had a charge on my Paypal account for something I purchased from Clickbank and I have not the foggiest clue what it was.

Next project for me is to organize my passwords, domain names, purchases, and any other relevant data into folders for each of my sites. And I am an unknown blogger – imagine the hassles some of those big name marketers must have!

Instead of paying for promotional materials, why not create your own?

These can be easily made using magnet paper from your local office supply store. The paper will need to be cut on a paper cutter after, but makes nice business cards that people can stick up on the frig.

Use printable magnet paper for the type of printer you have. Don’t use inkjet paper in your laser printer – it doesn’t always work ( I tried).

• Open a blank document in Word or similar, click {Tools} and {Envelopes and Labels}.
• Click the {Labels} tab and type the information that will be on your business cards into the blank area marked “address”.
  Make sure “print full page of the same label” is selected.
• To change the size of the card, click {Options}, choose the Product Number that matches the size you want – details are shown on the right side. Then click {Okay}.
• Now click {New Document}, not Print, and you should see a page of your business cards all nicely set up.
• Make any changes needed, click {File} and {Save} so you can print more another time.
• Click {File} and {Print Preview}to make sure it looks the way you want it to.
• Click {File} and {Print}. You may be instructed to feed the paper into the printer manually at this point, so follow the instructions. (Test first on a piece of plain paper.)
