Yay! I managed to fix my other WordPress blog and I got back all of my lost content! As you can tell, I am thrilled, and it was so easy.
I got an answer to the email I sent to my tech support at Netfirms. He told me to go into my themes folder and delete the problem theme. Then the content would revert back to its default appearance. It worked and my blog is as good as new. Take a look for yourself at CanadianWelcome.

Thanks Eric. My problems seem to be because I need to use this theme with a later version of wordpress. I am in the process of changing hosting services and will have the newer one then. For now I will suffer with this unrelated one, since it seems to be the only one that works very well.
But thank you for letting me know about the tweak for that theme. I may need it later.
Hi Eric, just to let you know, I did try your theme fix, but I still had trouble, so decided to stick with this one. Thanks again.
Nice to see and know you got your Blog back. You mentioned a web host change, what host is it to and also which host are you coming from.
I’m biased but so far HostGator is “The bomb” I was recently needing to curtail my hosting expenses so choose to do a add-on with HostGator not realizinng that since it wasn’t happening within 30 days of starting hosting with HG there wold be a $75(USD) charge.
However as a result of a email from there support staff saying no chaege, theren’t wasn’t a charge now if that isn’t sticking to one’s word or above and beyond the call of duty I don’t know what is.
I agree Robert. Hostgator goes above and beyond with their customer support. My old hosting service was Netfirms and the new one is of course Hostgator. To be fair, I never had any trouble with Netfirms and still register my domains there. But they didn’t have cpanel, so it was much more difficult to upgrade WordPress. For domain registration, I prefer Netfirms to Go Daddy only because their privacy option is built in, whereas with Go Daddy, you have to pay extra for it.
