Today was another frustrating day using Vista. I downloaded some video tutorials that I’d heard were excellent and could hardly wait to watch them. But thanks to my dear Windows program, I was only able to hear the sound. Apparently these videos are AVI files (sorry if files isn’t the right techie word) and Vista doesn’t like them.
Determined gal that I am, I saved the videos onto a portable drive and tried to watch them on my laptop. It worked! I could see them. But it couldn’t be that easy, could it? Of course not – computers do not like me, no matter how much attention I pay them. For some reason the sound wouldn’t work on the laptop.
I am almost ready to take my laptop into my study and listen to the videos on one machine while watching them on another! However, I’m not just determined, I am also stubborn. So Vista is going to work properly for me if it takes me all night. Which, I know from experience, it very well might.
Somebody remind me - why am I playing around with my computer instead of learning how to knit?
