		<description>Thank you both, Robert and Sandy. I did check out a number of forums but there doesn&#039;t seem to be any way to enlarge the default partition. And to make matters worse, both drives were marked as the default, so couldn&#039;t do much with either. Since I&#039;m not a techie, I couldn&#039;t reformat the drive myself, but Acer ended up giving me a new hard drive since mine was determined to be faulty.

And Sandy, you are right about all the extra junk you get with a new computer. First thing I usually do is remove all the sample programs.</description>

I had the same problem with my brand new Gateway. I reformatted the hard drive and did not partition it. Then I only put the operating sytem back on. When you get a new computer you get a bunch of junk a long with it. Now I only have what I want on it. I hope this helps.</description>
